Are you ready to get dental treatment abroad but have questions about the dental clinics we partner with? We understand that choosing dental treatment in a different country can be an important decision and we’re here to help you take the guesswork out of finding the perfect dental clinic.
At Dentaly Go, we have strict selection criteria to ensure we only partner with the best dental clinics that operate to the highest standards. Read more about our selection process below.
Hygiene and safety standards
The dental clinics we partner with adhere to local and international standards for safety, hygiene, and medical care. We confirm that they have all the necessary authorisations and certifications to perform the dental procedures they offer to patients, including surgical dental care, implantology, aesthetic dental care, radiography, and conservative dental care, among others.
We specifically ensure that our clinic partners adhere to:
- The standards set by the Ministry of Health in their country, including any additional regulators (e.g. the Turkish Dental Association in Turkey).
- ISO 9001 standards that are based on quality management. These standards apply to the quality of the environment, performance of equipment, quality of care, and staff competence. Obtaining an ISO certification requires stringent quality checks and ongoing commitment to improvement.
- TEMOS standards; an international standard for quality care for medical providers.
Quality equipment
The clinics we partner with collaborate with the most well-known manufacturers in implantology and dentistry, such as Nobel Biocare® or Alpha Bio®. This means that you will receive top-notch products covered by some of the best warranties available.
The clinics’ cutting-edge design and sophisticated dental technology, which allows for easier diagnosis and optimum patient comfort during treatment, is another crucial aspect of our selection criteria.
Additionally, they acknowledge the critical role of cleanliness and patient safety. They adhere to the strictest hygienic and sterilisation guidelines, which include:
- Use of disposal medical equipment such as masks, gloves, needles, etc.
- Regular equipment maintenance
- Sanitised operating rooms for all dental procedures
- Sterilisation and ultrasonic cleaning of all medical instruments
Skilled medical staff
We work with dentists that are skilled experts and who have received high-quality training with extensive experience in both general dentistry and their specific area of expertise (periodontics, endodontics, prosthetics, etc.). Many have received training or completed internships overseas, and they stay on top of industry-related technological advancements.
These dentists are experts in the field of dentistry and they continuously undergo training to maintain a level of excellence in their work.
An English-speaking team
The language barrier is one of the major worries patients have when receiving dental care abroad. The very last thing you want is to be unable to understand the dentist as you sit in the chair. We only choose clinics that have a history of working with patients who speak English for this reason.
You will be able to speak fluently in English with everyone involved in your treatment, from the person organising your treatment plan to the dental team carrying out your procedure.
Throughout the clinic’s business hours, an English-speaking staff member will be on hand to address any queries you may have regarding the treatment you get, your international travel, or even local activities to enjoy in the intervals between appointments.
Location of dental clinics
We choose dental clinics that are conveniently located nearby hotels and other services, as well as close to the airport. Between appointments, you won’t be left stranded in the middle of nowhere, and there will be a welcoming waiting area where you may rest comfortably.
While some of the clinics we work with have their in-house lab, others collaborate closely with local labs. Either way, they can make dental prostheses quickly, and to a high standard, reducing the amount of time you have to take to travel.
Finally, we only select medium and large dental clinics (with three to 20 dentists) that have a well-established reputation in the area.
Organising your trip
To ensure that your dental holiday trip goes smoothly, we only work with clinic partners who are experienced in dental tourism. Before they perform any dental treatment they can:
- Book your flights and arrange accommodation at reasonable rates
- Meet you at the airport
- Arrange your transportation between the hotel and the clinic for each visit
- Recommend local attractions to visit
Keep in mind that some of these services are provided free of charge, while others are not. You can ask your clinic for more details.
By working with one of our dental clinic partners you won’t have to worry about the smaller details as they will help you plan and enjoy your dental holiday.
The cost of dental treatment abroad
We are aware that saving money by receiving dental care outside of the United Kingdom is the primary motivation for your travel plans. In light of this, we make sure that our partner clinics’ charges are, on average, 50–70% lower than those of quotes given in the UK.
This ensures that you will save significantly on your treatment, even when flights and lodging are factored in.
However, we don’t only choose clinics based on their costs. Those with the absolute lowest pricing frequently fall short of our high quality standards. We want to be sure that the clinics we recommend have cutting-edge facilities and technology, outstanding standards, and high-quality service, in addition to being reasonably priced.
Guarantees
Regardless of where you receive treatment, issues can occasionally arise, but we sincerely hope that you will be entirely delighted with your dental work. However, we want you to know that if there are any issues with your dental implants or prosthesis, your clinic will offer comprehensive post-sale support to resolve the issue during their guarantee period.
You will receive a guarantee ranging from one year to a lifetime, depending on the procedure and occasionally the brand (especially with implants). You might need to go back to the clinic abroad for a little adjustment, or you might be able to get it done in a clinic in the UK.
The clinic will treat you with priority, free of charge. You might or might not be required to pay for your travel costs; each clinic has a different policy, so you can inquire with them before making a reservation.
Please be aware that most guarantees require that you visit the dentist regularly and take care of your teeth as directed. The warranty might be void if this isn’t done.
